Santo Tomás de Aquino

Santo Tomás de Aquino (1225-1274), llamado "Doctor Angélico" por la iglesia católica, es autor de magníficos textos teológicos, entre los que destacan: "La Suma Teológica" y "El Oficio del Santísimo Sacramento". Perteneció a la orden de los dominicos. En esta pintura (óleo sobre tela), el ángel que porta la eucaristía, hace alusión a los textos litúrgicos que Santo Tomas redactó para la solemnidad del Corpus Christi.
